Session Date: January 18 – May 31, 2020                    
All voice students will perform at the Spotlight Showcase on Saturday May 9, 2020.
Spotlight Show Fee: $40 per student plus the cost of a performance t-shirt.

Voice Lessons

(Private / Single Student, Ages 6 and Up)
Voice lessons at On Pointe School of Music are taught using a classical approach, meaning that you will learn from the root of how to sing healthy and musically. These are one-on-one classes for the student with their teacher.

Group Voice Lessons

(Ages 6 and up)
Group Voice lessons are taught once weekly in 30 minute increments with 2-6 students per group and provide individualized work. These lessons, like our private voice lessons, are taught using a classical approach, and can be used for solo & ensemble preparation, praise & worship, or simply for friends who want to sing together.

Group Voice Lesson Pricing:  2 Students: $50/mo. per student; 3-6 Students: $45/mo. per student

Small Vocal Ensemble

(Ages 6 and up)
Vocal ensembles are offered for students who would like to learn how to sing with others in a small group. This is a weekly class that is 60 minutes in length with 4-10 students per ensemble. Some singing experience preferred, student should be able to match pitch as more complex work will be covered. Students will learn how to blend well with others as well as sing independent parts. Your student will be placed in an ensemble at the teacher’s discretion. These are also available for adults with an enrollment of at least 4 students.

Choir

(Ages 6 and up)
Choir is offered for students who would like to sing with others in a larger group. Some experience preferred. Choir is open to all ages, but student must be able to match pitch. Detailed work and choral music is used.

Choir pricing: $60/mo. per student

  • Breath support
  • Musicianship
  • How to sing with others (in a larger group than Vocal Ensemble)
  • How to prepare for and participate in a live performance

Piano Lessons

(Ages 6 and up)
Piano lessons will use a lesson book chosen by the teacher. These are one-on-one classes for the student with their teacher.

  • How to prepare for and participate in a live performance

Flute & Beginner Clarinet Lessons

(Ages 10 and up for Flute; ages 10 – 14 for Clarinet, with exceptions – call to inquire.)
Flute and Beginner-Level Clarinet lessons at On Pointe School of Music are an excellent supplement to students participating in school band or orchestra who need or want to increase their skill level with their instrument. Each lesson will use a lesson book chosen by the teacher. These are one-on-one classes for the student with their teacher.

  • How to prepare to play alone (solo) or with other (in an ensemble, band, or orchestra)

Prep Day Class Information

Ms. Amanda will lead a Prep Day Class on Saturday, February from 12:00 – 1:00 PM. This Prep Day class is mandatory to be able to participate in any of the above groups. At the end of the prep day, the students will be placed into the correct groups.

Prep Day class fee is $20 per student. Call On Pointe’s front desk at (810) 678-2903 to reserve a spot in this class.
